Induction

When new employees arrive there is a need to provide effective induction training as quickly as possible. An on-line induction package can provide a readily available resource that covers the main areas in a consistent manner.

Training needs include:

  • The organisational structure
  • Employment terms and conditions
  • Health, safety and environment
  • Policies (IT, grievance, diversity, bullying, security)
  • Our expectations
  • Terms and conditions
  • Attendance
  • Employee benefits

Induction training needs to be easily paced using non-technical language. The training will act as a brochure for the company and should reinforce the employee's decision to join. Any images used should reflect good practice and enhance the learning points.

The package can be created with electronic tracking and controlled access ensuring that the learner cannot progress unless questions or exercises are answered successfully. It is also possible to include printable assignments directing the learner to carry out site-specific, tasks gathering information to enhance their knowledge.

There is also an opportunity in the recruitment process to engage new starters before their first day on-site. An on-boarding package accessed over the internet by new recruits can be a used to give an insight into the organisation and its culture. An on-boarding course can benefit both the organisation and recruit leading to a successful induction.
